Persistent cookie HRD

The Persistent cookie HRD rule saves a user's choices of Identity providers to a cookie. When users need to log in next time, Identify detects that the user has an Identity provider remembered and selects it automatically.

Offer users to choose if they want their selections remembered

From version 5.12, we added a new option called Offer remember user choice of Identity provider. The option only appears when you configure the Persistent cookie rule.

When the new setting is enabled, users can use the Remember my selection option:

Technical note: When you choose to remember an authentication for a specific application, Identify updates the AuthenticationConnectionId cookie with the ID of the selected Identity provider.
