Permanently lost access to device or code

Click on the login method you have lost access to

You must contact your administrator to change your login if you permanently do not have access to:

  • Your phone, e.g. if you have changed your phone number
  • Your e-mail, e.g. if you have changed e-mail
Authenticator app is e.g. Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator. Web authenticator is eg Windows Hello PIN, touch ID.

You now have two options:

You can choose to reset your login

If you permanently have:

  • Lost your device with your second factor login – e.g. if you lost your phone or PC, where your authenticator app was on
  • Do not have access to the program to which the second factor code is being sent – e.g. if you deleted your authenticator app by mistake and have installed it again (which mean you now don’t have access to your account)
  • Lost access to your recovery code

Guide to reset your login:

  1. Go to the login page (where you usually log in)
  2. Click "Troubleshoot NSIS login."
  3. Sign in with your NemID
  4. Select "Reset MFA"
  5. You can now log in in the same way as the first time you logged in

You can also change to another login method

If you have the option to log in with another method (authenticator app, web authenticator, or OS2factor), you can also log in with this instead. If you choose to do so, you will have to use this method for future logins instead of the method you are using now:

  1. Go to the login page (where you usually log in)
  2. Click "TroubleshootNSIS login."
  3. Sign in with your NemID
  4. Select "Change MFA"
  5. Choose the MFA type you want
  6. You will be asked to log in with the new method the next time you log in
