How to clean the favicon.ico on your browser

Identify: version 4.4

Since version 4.4, we have replaced the old logo with the new Safewhere logo for Identify installer, Identify configurator, Identify themes and help site.

But in some cases, when you access to the Identify site, you see the old Safewhere logo on your browser. This is the issue on caching favicon.ico on root path.

Here is the way we refresh this favicon manually:

  1. On IE, Firefox
  • Type <tenant url>/favicon.ico on browser, e.g https://identify.safewhere.local/favicon.ico
  • Enter to load the favicon.ico, then press Ctrl+F5
  • Restart browser
  1. On Chrome
  • Type <tenant url>/favicon.ico on browser, e.g https://identify.safewhere.local/favicon.ico
  • Enter to load favicon.ico, right click on the tab and click "Reload"
